After a break the evening, we will leave the city lights behind - in our first search for the Northern Lights!

During this fun urban trek, you will learn fun facts about Iceland’s history and rich culture full of Vikings, food, nightlife, music, trolls, elves, and of course...Thor!

The Golden Circle

Golden Circle Tour - Secret Lagoon - Friðheimar Tomato Farm

DAY 4: Monday, October 7th

This morning, we drive off to Southwestern Iceland's deservedly popular "Golden Circle" area.

Check into the Stracta Hotel

Þingvellir National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site most famous for its lava field rift valley separating the North-American and Eurasian continental plates. It is also here that Iceland’s first parliament, Althingi, was founded in 930 AD.

Geysir - the original “geyser”: At this world-renowned geothermal area you can witness gurgling bubbling water bursting up to 25 meters high and the ground bubbling underneath your feet. Despite Geysir being the name source for every “hot reverse waterfall” worldwide, nearby Strokkur is now the show's main star as it bursts every 4 to 10 minutes!

The Golden Waterfall: "The Golden waterfall" is an incredible sight and a perfect photo spot, with water rushing down three steps of lava layers exhibiting breathtaking power and grandeur.

Northern Lights Round 2: After our hotel dinner, enjoy a soak in the hotel’s outdoor hot tub while watching for the Northern Lights.

Lunch at Friðheimar Tomato Farm

Dinner at Stracta Hotel

South Coast

Waterfalls, Lava, and Beaches

DAY 5: Tuesday, October 8th

Throughout the day, we can expect to see breathtaking landscapes consisting of vast lava fields, waterfalls, black sand beaches, and glacier tongues.

Seljalandsfoss: As intimidating as it looks and sounds upon approach - upon closer inspection, you discover a sneaky-little walkway tucked behind this thundering cascade.

Skógafoss: Located at the foot of a famous volcano, Eyjafjallajökull.

Reynisfjara: a black sand beach full of picturesque basalt column formations that will greet us. This noir-fantasy beach is also famously known for some of the dazzling scenery seen in Game of Thrones.

Hvolsvöllur: The group will explore the Lava and Volcano Center exhibition, which will give an excellent insight into the volcanic geology in the area and Iceland (admission included). We will conclude at the Skógar Folk Museum, to learn about Iceland's rich cultural heritage.

More lights, anyone?: After some rest, relax and look for the Northern Lights. Being in the countryside, away from the city lights, is excellent for spotting this natural phenomenon.

Bonus: wake-up service is provided if they appear after bedtime - by request.

South Coast of Iceland

Jökulsárlón Ice Lagoon - Diamond Beach

DAY 6: Wednesday, October 9th

Jökulsárlón Ice Lagoon
Exploring this renowned lagoon, made famous by several blockbuster movies such as Batman Begins, is an unforgettable experience! Many natural ice sculptures from the receding Breiðamerkurjökull Glacier jostle for position in the lagoon before being washed onto the nearby Diamond Beach. There, you will see them glittering like diamonds as they rest on the dramatic coal blackness of the sand.

Hella: Yes, as in…a town named after the Norse Goddess of the Underworld!💀 We will stop to enjoy lunch en route.

Skaftafell Nature Reserve: a green area amid amazingly jagged mountains and glacier-crowned peaks. The otherworldly scenery of Skaftafell promises to be a highlight of our tour!

The Blue Lagoon

DAY 7: Thursday, October 10th

Imagine relaxing in a blend of seawater and geothermally heated spring water - rich in silica, minerals, and algae, surrounded by a lunar lava landscape.

This uber-famous site, located within the UNESCO World Heritage Reykjanes Peninsula, is good for your skin and a real treat for the mind, body, and soul. The iconic white silica mud face masks are accessible to all lagoon guests.

Self-Explore in Reykjavík

DAY 8: Friday, October 11th

Explore the charming Icelandic capital of Reykjavík at your own pace.

Evening Reykjavík Foodie Tour

DAY 8 - Friday, October 11, 2023

Spa Night at Laugarvatn Fontana - Northern Lights Search

DAY 9: Saturday, October 12th

In the evening, we will head back through Þingvellir National Park for dinner (self-purchased) to relax at the geothermal spa resort: Laugarvatn Fontana. This massive complex has three natural hot spring steam rooms, a sauna, and four hot pools - with the potential of you also enjoying them all under the heavenly glow of the Northern Lights! On our way back to Reykjavík, we will cap-off our last night chasing the different patterns of this natural phenomenon.

B A.G. Travel provided exceptional service, and our trip was spectacular. Michael is detailed and professional.

The Yosemite trip was very enjoyable and well- organized. The chartered bus was very comfortable and made for an easy entry/exit into/from the park. There was a lot of flexibility to chose activities every day and as an avid hiker I did a 16 mile loop hike with absolutely stunning views! Definitely recommend this trip whether it’s your first time to Yosemite or whether you are a repeat visitor.

Mike organized the perfect experience at Yosemite National Park! This trip was my first time visiting Yosemite and it was absolutely breathtaking. Mike created a flexible itinerary to ensure everyone got the best experience possible. The hikes, the rafting ... all of it was amazing. I will be back next year at Yosemite with BAG Travel!

I joined BAG Travel to Puerto Vallarta on May 2022. It was a great trip; got to meet new friends to travel with, and got to experience new activities that haven't done before on my previous visits to PVR. Would definitely join more trips in the future.

Yosemite Breathtaking: I was invited by a work colleague to a Yosemite trip with B.A.G. I didn’t know what to expect because I didn’t know anyone but the person who invited me. On the trip, I had the opportunity to step outside my comfort zone. I met other professionals, went hiking, enjoyed the breathtaking sights of Yosemite, and immersed myself in a memorable experience. The booking process was not stressful because the leader was quite communicative and organized. I highly recommend one to book with B.A.G!! You won’t be disappointed!!
